What Rhinoplasty (Nose Reshaping) Involves

Rhinoplasty reshapes the nose to bring it into balance with the rest of the face — refining a dorsal hump, a bulbous or drooping tip, a wide bridge, or asymmetry. The aim is a natural nose that suits your face, not a generic one.

We take an ethnic-appropriate approach and preserve, or improve, the airway. Where a deviated septum or breathing difficulty is present, a functional septorhinoplasty addresses both the look and the function in one procedure.

Surgery may be closed (incisions hidden inside the nose) or open (a tiny, well-hidden incision across the columella for greater access in complex or revision cases). The tip settles slowly: you'll look presentable in 1–2 weeks, with subtle swelling resolving over 6–12 months.

Are You a Candidate?

Honest criteria — the same ones we'd use in the consultation room.

  • A nasal feature you'd like refined — hump, tip, width or asymmetry
  • Breathing difficulty alongside a cosmetic concern
  • An unsatisfactory result from previous surgery (revision)
  • Fully grown facial structure (typically mid-teens and above)
  • Realistic goals and good general health

We'll be straight with you

If you're seeking a dramatically different nose that wouldn't suit your face, we'll talk that through honestly before agreeing to operate.

The Process at Our Clinic

Five clear steps, from your first question to a year of follow-up.

Consultation

An unhurried first consultation with Dr. Gopal Singh himself — we block around 45 minutes. We listen to your goals, take your history, and give you an honest view of what's realistic. You speak with the surgeon, not a sales coordinator.

Assessment & plan

A focused examination with measurements and, where useful, clinical photos to confirm candidacy. You leave with a clear plan and a written quote for your procedure.

The procedure

Performed personally by Dr. Gopal Singh in a properly equipped clinical setup. Typical duration is around 2–3 hours, under general anaesthesia, in most cases as day-care.

Recovery

Clear aftercare instructions, medication and any garments you need. Most patients are looking at roughly 2–3 weeks before returning to normal routines, with activity reintroduced gradually.

Follow-up

Scheduled reviews so we can track healing and your result over time — included for a full year. We're reachable between visits if anything comes up.

Questions Patients Actually Ask

Straight answers — the same ones you'd get in the room.

Open or closed rhinoplasty — which will I need?
It depends on what needs changing. Closed works well for many refinements; open gives better access for complex tip work or revisions. Your surgeon recommends the approach at consultation.
Will rhinoplasty improve my breathing?
It can. If a deviated septum or airway issue is contributing, that's corrected at the same time so the nose works as well as it looks.
When can I go back to work?
Most people return in about 1–2 weeks once the external splint is removed and the main swelling and bruising have settled.
How long until the final shape?
Most swelling settles in a few weeks, but the tip refines over 6–12 months before the final result is fully visible.
Will Dr. Gopal Singh perform the surgery himself?
Yes. Dr. Gopal Singh performs every surgery personally. You will not be passed to a junior doctor on the day of your procedure.
Do you offer EMI or payment plans?
Yes. Flexible EMI and no-cost EMI options are available through partnered financial providers. Use the EMI calculator on this page for an estimate; exact terms depend on the procedure and are confirmed at your consultation.
I'm travelling from another city — can you help?
Yes, we see patients from across India. A video consultation can be arranged first, and we can guide you on accommodation and travel around your procedure dates.
Can I see before-and-after photos?
We don't publish patient photos publicly, to protect privacy. During your in-person consultation we'll show you cases relevant to yours so you can set realistic expectations.
